Dane Gebauer is a writer and teacher from Connecticut. He studied English at Fordham University before receiving an MFA in fiction from Columbia. He writes regularly for the education blog College Transitions, and his stories have appeared in Complex Magazine, Sinking City Review, and The Pinch. Currently, Dane makes a living as a writer, teacher, and essay coach. He lives in Miami with his wife and their cat, Scout.
